I founded Perpetua Cottage Academy to share with others the education I want my children to have.

I grew up in the Madison area where I was shaped by the Christian school I attended. I majored in History and Political Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison; it was here that I developed my life-long love for the classics. After graduating, I worked in state government, attended the University of Wisconsin Law School, and practiced law for a couple of years. Over the past decade and a half, I have taught a variety of Foreign Language, History, Language Arts, Literature, Logic, and Religion classes from grades 4th to 12th and have served as Head of School of two classical academies.

My wife and I have five children, all named after great literary or historical figures. When I am not teaching, I enjoy learning new things. Additionally, I like hiking, gardening, travelling, and reading.

Communication mediated via a flickering screen is a poor way to get to know someone. If you are interested in learning more about Perpetua Cottage Academy, please reach out to me at PerpetuaCottageAcademy@Gmail.com.

Sincerely,

Monte Knetter
